But who is the old lady you ask?... It's the old lady from Threadneedle Street. 'The Old Lady Of Threadneedle Street' is the nickname of the Bank of England which is on Threadneedle Street in the heart of the City of London. We thought it quite apt to derive our name from the bank's nickname, as it demonstrates that Tolots is just another side of the modern day banking system.

Did you know?..... The Bank of England has been called this ever since a cartoonist named James Gilray produced an image in 1797 which depicts the bank as an old lady sitting on a chest of gold.
